Hello and welcome! My name is Jaisa...

...I'm a Filipino-Canadian Settler born and raised in Tkaronto/Toronto, Ontario. I've been working as a neuro-rehab occupational therapist since 2005 but in 2010 a motorcyle accident left me with a spinal cord injury and incomplete paralysis  from the waist down.

With my parents in acute care a week after my injury.

My journey of healing has lead me to discovery the medicines of mindfulness, energy work and shamanism. Over the years I've progressed from a wheelchair to a walker, to two canes, two hiking sticks, then one hiking and eventually just the use of orthotic runners.

Passionate to share how mindfulness, energetic and spiritual care can help us to cope with chronic pain, chronic unworthiness, anxiety and depression I went on to become a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher and practitioner of Reiki, Medical Qigong and Chinese Shamanic Medicine.

From 2015-2017 I lived in the sacred lands of the Unceded Coast Salish Territories. There I discovered the free medicine that our earth's energies and spirit provides. I'm now excited to be back in Toronto feeling more connected to mother earth and father sky and working as a holistic occupational therapist, speaker, and published author.
